Burglar Busted After Cash Snatch in Early Morning Raid
Police rushed to a Drakes Avenue home at around 7.15am this morning (28/3) after a burglary was reported. The culprits slipped in through an unsecured side door, making off with cash.
Two Men Nabbed with Stolen Cash and Drugs
Officers swiftly launched an investigation and arrested two men on suspicion of burglary. Both were found carrying stolen cash. One of the suspects was also caught with cannabis and now faces additional charges.
The pair remain in custody at Gablecross station for questioning.
Police Warn Locals: Lock Up or Lose Out
“Incidents like this are deeply upsetting for victims and worrying for the whole community,” said Insp Ben Huggins.
“Please be reassured we take these crimes seriously and are working hard to catch those responsible.
“We urge everyone to secure their homes and vehicles overnight to avoid becoming targets for opportunistic thieves. Report any suspicious activity immediately.”
