Four-Year-Old and Family Rushed to Hospital in Ilford Carbon Monoxide Scare

A four-year-old child and several family members were rushed to hospital after a suspected carbon monoxide leak at a home in Ilford, it has emerged.

Emergency Services Descend on Blakes Avenue

The drama unfolded just after 5.20pm on Friday afternoon when firefighters, paramedics, and police swarmed a property on Blakes Avenue, Barking.

Paramedics found the youngster unresponsive inside the house. Another family member was suffering a seizure, while three others were also treated at the scene for similar symptoms.

Investigation Underway as Causes Remain Unclear

The suspected culprit behind the medical emergency is carbon monoxide poisoning. Officers from the Met Police, the Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) from London Ambulance Service, and the London Fire Brigade all attended the incident.

An official investigation into the source of the leak is ongoing. The Met Police have been contacted for comment.
