Shocking Acid Attack in East Belfast Leaves Man Seriously Injured
Detectives in East Belfast are hunting a gang after a terrifying acid attack on a man in his 20s. The victim suffered severe burns to his face and upper body during the assault in the Sunwich Street area on Saturday, 5 August.
Victim Chased and Attacked with Corrosive Liquid
According to Detective Inspector Angus, police got the distress call at around 6.30pm. The victim was being chased by a car and stopped his own vehicle. A group leapt from the pursuing car, and one hurled a suspected corrosive liquid over him.
