Pickpocket Alert on London Bus: Passenger Warns Public After Shocking Incident

Pickpocket Strikes on 29 Bus in Harringay

A worried passenger has raised the alarm after an alleged pickpocketing on a London bus. The incident reportedly happened on Wednesday, 19 March at around 8:29 a.m. aboard the 29 bus route while it was cruising down Green Lanes in Harringay.

The witness says she saw a man sneak his hand into the pocket of another passenger—her own daughter-in-law—during the journey. Although it’s unclear if anything was actually stolen, the warning has quickly spread online to caution fellow commuters.

Stay Alert on London’s Public Transport

This unsettling event has reignited calls for passengers to stay sharp, especially during busy peak times when buses are packed. Transport for London (TfL) urges everyone to keep their belongings close and stay aware of their surroundings.

“Commuters should secure personal items and report any suspicious behaviour immediately,” TfL advises, highlighting the importance of vigilance on crowded public transport.

How to Report Pickpocketing and Help Catch Thieves

If you see a crime or suspect pickpocketing, report it. Contact the police on 101 or dial 999 in an emergency. You can also reach out to British Transport Police or report anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

TfL also reminds passengers they can rely on onboard CCTV cameras, which help law enforcement identify and catch offenders quickly.

Stay vigilant, Londoners – don’t let pickpockets ruin your day!
