Window Cleaner Pinched £260 from Granny’s Home
Police have released an E-fit after a crafty window cleaner allegedly nicked cash from an 80-year-old woman’s house in Southampton. The man cleaned the windows at a property on Heathfield Close on Saturday 5 August, but suspiciously came back the next day claiming he’d forgotten to clean the bedroom’s inside window.
The Dirt on the Suspect
- White male, aged 30-35
- Height: 5ft 7ins to 5ft 8ins
- Short black curly hair
- Slim build, clean-shaven
- Notable small tattoo on the left side of his neck
- Wore dark blue jeans and a fawn-coloured jacket
- Carried a “bag for life” containing a bucket, rags, and a window cleaning squeegee blade
Police Hunt Window Cleaner Thief
Officer Peter Burns urged anyone who might know the suspect or has seen someone matching this description to come forward.
“We need to identify this man. Reports suggest he’s also been roaming around Butts Road in Sholing and Pepys Avenue. If you’ve seen him or have any info, please get in touch immediately.”
