Two Teens Arrested Over Dagenham Stabbing and Shooting
Detectives have made two fresh arrests in the brutal stabbing and shooting of a man on Whalebone Lane South, Dagenham.
Teen Suspects Held in Kent on Attempted Murder Charges
On Friday, 10 May, two 17-year-old boys were caught in Ashford, Kent. They face charges of attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life. Both remain in Kent custody and will soon be moved to London for questioning.
Victim Ambushed While Cycling
Detective Inspector Iain Wallace from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command revealed:
“The victim, a 19-year-old, was cycling when a group of men ambushed him. They arrived and fled in three cars.”
Wallace added that several arrests have been made, but urged the public to come forward with any information. “This was no random fight—it was a planned attack. The victim is fighting for his life. Help us take these dangerous criminals off the streets.”
What Happened on Whalebone Lane South?
- Police were called around 5:20pm on Thursday, 2 May after reports of a stabbing.
- Moments later, gunshots were heard, prompting a second call.
- Emergency crews found the 19-year-old badly stabbed and shot.
- He was rushed to hospital and remains in critical condition.
Earlier, four men and a woman aged 18 to 25 were arrested but later bailed as inquiries continue.
