Shock Stun Gun Attack in Farnol Road Car Chase!

On Friday 18 March 2022, a man in his 30s and a woman in her 20s were sitting in a car on Farnol Road when trouble struck.

Thugs Use Stun Gun in Brazen Mobile Phone Snatch

A male and female pair on foot approached the car. The male suspect shocked the man through the open window with a stun gun to the leg, trying to snatch his phone. The pair then fled on foot, chased by the victim.

Suspect Descriptions Released

  • Male suspect: White, around 30, 5ft 11in, medium build, untidy mousey-blond hair, dressed in an all-black tracksuit.
  • Female suspect: White, in her 30s, 5ft 5in, slim build, light brown hair in a bun, wearing grey and pink tracksuit with a grey beanie hat.

Violent Damage to Vehicle

The female victim stayed in the car, but three more men wearing dark clothes and balaclavas struck the vehicle with metal poles. They then chased her on foot as she drove off, attacking her car again on Keyes Road.

Police Seek Witnesses

“This was an unprovoked attack on strangers and thankfully neither victim was seriously hurt,” said Detective Constable Martin Stevens. “We urge anyone who saw what happened to come forward, especially drivers with dashcams or residents with CCTV or doorbell cameras.”

Two teenage boys were arrested but later released pending further inquiries.
