Murder Probe Launched After Body Found in Feltham
Woman Arrested Near Greenford Bridge
A murder investigation is underway in Hounslow after a body was discovered in a canal.
Police were called to Northumberland Crescent, Feltham, at 10:26pm on Sunday, 6 August following a welfare concern.
Officers found no one inside the property but spotted signs of a struggle. Soon after, a 33-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of murder near a car on Greenford Bridge.
Body Found in Canal Off Bulls Bridge Lane
On 7 August, searches in the canal beside Bulls Bridge Lane, Southall, uncovered the remains of a woman believed to be 57 years old.
Detectives have set up a crime scene at Northumberland Crescent and continue to search the canal area.
Police Appeal for Information
Detective Inspector Ollie Stride said: “A woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder. We believe this was an isolated incident. Identification of the deceased is pending but specially trained officers are supporting the family. Our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.”
“Searches remain ongoing around Bulls Bridge Road and the canal. We appreciate the public’s patience as police cordons stay in place.”
Chief Superintendent Sean Wilson added: “This is a horrific incident and our thoughts are with the family. Officers will be patrolling the area—please stop and speak to them if you have any information.”
