Woman Arrested in Derbyshire Over Terror Funding Claims
The Met Police Counter Terrorism Command swooped early yesterday, arresting a 35-year-old woman in Derbyshire on suspicion of funding terrorism.
Dawn Raid by Counter Terror Squad
Detectives from the National Terrorism Financial Investigation Unit struck at around 5.50am on 21 August. They arrested the woman under section 17 of the Terrorism Act 2000, alleging her involvement in arranging terror funding.

The officers conducted a thorough search of the Derbyshire address before taking the woman in for questioning at a London police station. She was detained under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act.
She has since been released on bail and must return to the station in mid-September. Enquiries are ongoing.
