A 15-year-old boy has been fatally stabbed in Woolwich, with police cordoning off a house on Eglinton Road following the shocking attack on Sunday evening.

Police Called to Scene – Boy Dies Despite Emergency Efforts

The Metropolitan Police rushed to the scene at 6.35pm on September 22 after reports of a stabbing. Officers found the teenager with a severe knife wound. Paramedics tried to save him, but he sadly died at the scene.

His family has been informed and is receiving support from specialist officers dedicated to helping vulnerable young people.

Local Residents Shocked and Fearful After Brutal Attack

Locals are reeling from the incident. One 43-year-old woman called the victim “the most polite boy,” recalling seeing him dancing with friends just days earlier. “He was always respectful whenever we crossed paths,” she said.

Another resident described the terrifying moment her children witnessed the attack. “My kids started screaming; they saw men with knives,” she said. She and another woman tried to help the boy but couldn’t save him.

Witnesses described the weapon as large—about the size of a child’s leg. The community had previously requested CCTV cameras from the council due to rising safety concerns, but their appeals were ignored. Now, locals fear for their children’s safety, warning this won’t be the last violent incident.

Investigation Ongoing – Police Plead for Information

Police remain stationed outside the Eglinton Road house, maintaining a crime scene while investigations continue. No arrests have been made yet.
