Firearms Scare in Downsview Road
Police were quick off the mark after reports of a man carrying a gun on Downsview Road, Portslade, at 4.30pm today.
It Was Just a Teen with Airsoft Weapons
Firearms officers arrived at the scene, prioritising public safety. They soon discovered the “gunman” was actually a 15-year-old boy carrying two airsoft guns.
No Arrest, But Serious Warning Given
Thankfully, no one was hurt. The boy wasn’t arrested but was handed a stern warning by officers. Both airsoft weapons were seized to ensure no further trouble.
