Following intelligence work, members of the city’s Community Policing Team gained entry to the property in St Martin’s Hill on Tuesday, June 7, 2022.
Over 60 cannabis plants in various stages of development, as well as bags of harvested cannabis, were discovered in rooms spread across two floors and seized as part of an ongoing investigation.
Investigations into the identities of those behind the cultivation are ongoing.
The profits made from cultivation sites of this kind invariably end up in the hands of criminal groups, and I am glad we have taken these drugs out of circulation,’ said Sergeant Lee Thompson of Canterbury’s Community Policing Team.
I would urge anyone who suspects illegal drugs are being grown, produced, or sold in their neighbourhood to contact Kent Police via our website, by calling 101, or dialling 999 if a crime is in progress.
