Woman Arrested in Murder Probe of Missing Man ‘Shah’
Detectives have made their eighth arrest in the chilling case of Mohammed Shah Subhani, known as ‘Shah’. A 67-year-old woman from Hounslow was arrested at Heathrow Airport on Tuesday, December 17, on suspicion of perverting the course of justice, assisting an offender, and making a false statement.
She remains in custody at a west London police station as officers keep up an intense search nearby.
Massive Woodland Search Underway Near Beaconsfield
Specialist cops are combing a large patch of woodland near Hedgerley Lane in Beaconsfield, Bucks. The extensive investigation is ongoing as police try to piece together what happened to Shah, who went missing in May.
“This latest arrest shows our commitment to establishing what happened to Shah,” said Detective Chief Inspector Noel McHugh of Specialist Crime.
“I am convinced there are people with information who have yet to come forward. Those in the know, just imagine the pain your silence is causing Shah’s loving family.
Our search is moving forward, and I thank the local community for their patience. It’s a big area to cover, but we’re doing our best to keep disruption low. The family are kept fully updated and my thoughts are with them at this distressing time.”
Cops Plead for Witnesses to Come Forward
Detective McHugh appealed directly to anyone using the isolated woodland area to recall any suspicious activity, especially around the time Shah vanished.
“This isn’t an area people simply stumble across – you’d have to know it was there. We believe this presents a prime chance for someone to come forward.
“Think back to earlier this year. Have you spotted any cars that stood out? We have a number of vehicles we’re interested in.”
A hefty £20,000 reward is still on offer for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those involved in Shah’s disappearance and murder.
