The alert, which is separate from the Met Office Amber alert, indicates significant risks to vehicles on the Strategic Road Network (SRN). Road users are strongly advised to reconsider travel plans, as journeys in these areas may be disrupted or delayed.

- A66 (Old Spittal, Stainmore): 10-15 cm of snow.
- M62 (J21-23): 10-15 cm of snow, potential blown snow.
- A69: 5-10 cm of snow.
- M6 (J39, Shap): 10-15 cm of snow at Shap; 2-5 cm elsewhere south of Carlisle.
- M56 (Manchester): 2-5 cm of snow.
North East
- A66 (Old Spittal): 10-15 cm of snow.
