Fire Crews Cut Driver Free After Recovery Truck Leaves A31 Carriageway

A breakdown recovery driver is this evening recovering in hospital with serious injuries after the recovery vehicle he was driving left the A31 westbound carriageway(Tuesday). Emergency services rushed to the scene just before 11pm after receiving numerous calls about the incident after the truck left the carriage way ploughing into the central reservation of the busy trunk road. The man who works for Ravencroft motor company who on his way to give aid to a driver. He was freed by fire crews after about an hour and strapped to a spinal-board. The driver who’s injuries are thought to be serious was treated by Hazardous Area response paramedics who also attended the incident. The driver of the Chrysler car which hit him was jailed in 2009 for causing death by dangerous driving.
