Major Rescue operation after Father and Daughter Get stuck in the Mud after getting lost in Beaulieu

A Father and his ten year old daughter have escaped serious injury after they sparked a major rescue operation late of Saturday evening. The pair got lost and stuck in the mud and had to be rescued from a bog by a specialist emergency rescue teams yesterday evening. The incident happened in Beaulieu Road, Beaulieu, the pair became trapped after getting lost on a bike ride. Fire crews from Lyndhurst,Fareham,Redbridge and Beaulieu Fire Station were called to the incident along with a coastguard rescue team from Hillhead and the Coastguard Rescue helicopter just after 5.20pm. Rescuers used inflatable mud paths to help rescue the pair who were than flown to Southampton General Hospital by the helicopter from Lee on the Solent.
