Ninety Year Old Man Dies after Fatal Collision in Haslemere

A pedestrian who suffered serious injuries following a collision with a car in Haslemere yesterday (Monday, 31 October) has sadly died. Angela French, owner of Objets d’Art jewellery store, said she saw the man trying to cross the road. “He went over the top of the car,” she said, adding that he was “lucky” the vehicle going in the opposite direction managed to stop in time. “People rushed to help,” she said. I called the ambulance, which arrived very quickly onto the scene along with the police.” Emergency services attended the scene and the man was taken to St George’s Hospital in Tooting with serious head injuries where he later died. The man’s next of kin have been informed.
