Traffic is currently being held on the M25 QE2 Bridge at Dartford after reports of a person on the crossing. The Dartford crossing in both directions has been closed both Essex and Kent Police have been called to the incident. Officers are on the scene but were likely to be some time, and warned drivers to avoid the area. Traffic has been stopped on both carriageways and tailbacks are building in the area. As a result of the bridge closure. Police also took steps to also close the two tunnels whilst specialists deal with the incident. A spokesman for Highways England said that they were informed of the police led incident at around 8.19pm on Thursday evening traffic has now been stopped in both directions whilst officers deal with the incident.
