Controversial YouTuber and TikToker Curtis Arnold, known for his involvement in the Nicola Bulley case, has clashed with staff at Hartlebury Castle after flying a drone over the estate without permission. In his latest video, Arnold, who gained notoriety for sharing footage of Bulley’s body being found, visited the historic castle and became embroiled in a disagreement about drone usage.
In the video, shared on his DJE Media YouTube channel, Arnold films his interaction with castle staff using a GoPro, as they inform him he cannot fly or film the drone over the property without prior permission. Staff advised that any commercial use of drone footage, particularly if it results in profit, would require an agreement with the site.

Arnold, who identified himself as “Dan” to the staff, insisted that they were “misinformed” about drone laws and maintained that he was within his rights to film. He acknowledged that he would make money from the video, estimating between £500 and £600, but refused to enter a formal commercial agreement with the castle.

A staff member responded, stating: “If you’re not prepared to agree to a commercial agreement, then we can’t allow the filming on site right now.” Despite this, Arnold later posted the drone footage of the castle in his video, which has already garnered over 54,000 views.

The YouTuber, a former barber from Kidderminster, concluded his video by encouraging viewers to visit the castle, complimenting the “lovely staff” and the site. Hartlebury Castle has declined to comment on the incident.
Arnold recently featured in the BBC documentary The Search For Nicola Bulley, which aired last week, further increasing his controversial online presence.
