Luxury Supercar Causes Chaos on Gravel Hill
The twisted remains of a high-end supercar lay scattered after it triggered a massive smash involving eight vehicles. The crash left four drivers and passengers injured, with neck and back pain among the reported injuries.
A London Ambulance Service spokeswoman revealed: “We were called at 6.55pm to reports of a road traffic collision on Gravel Hill.” She added, “We treated eight patients in total, four of whom required hospital care.”
Witness Claims Driver Was Reckless Hire Car Racer
Local eyewitness, speaking anonymously, said the wrecked vehicle was a hire car often seen speeding around the area. “He’s always racing it and winding up the police,” the witness said.
According to the witness, the driver dangerously overtook stationary cars before spotting a speed camera at the traffic lights — but it was too late to avoid disaster.
Fire Brigade Responds Quickly but No One Trapped
The London Fire Brigade confirmed three fire engines rushed to the scene from Addington and Croydon stations. A spokeswoman stated: “We were called shortly before 7pm. There were no persons trapped in any of the vehicles.”
She added that injuries were spread across five of the involved cars, highlighting the severity of the crash.
