A man found himself trapped beneath a hydraulic urinal below street level on busy Charing Cross Road. Firefighters raced to the scene to mount a daring rescue.

Heroic Rescue Takes Over Two Hours

The London Fire Brigade was called at 1:05pm. Around 25 firefighters from Soho, Euston, and Dowgate stations arrived with four fire engines. Working closely with partner agencies, they used a winch to free the man safely.

Man Handed Over to Ambulance Service

After nearly three hours of work, the trapped man was finally rescued at 3:41pm and handed over to the London Ambulance Service for treatment.
