Hundreds of Bikes Detoured During Speed Blitz
Despite the cancellation, hundreds of motorcycles and quad bikes roared down the route. Patrols zeroed in on the Lamberhurst Bypass, infamous for high speeds and noise complaints from locals. Officers worked alongside Kent Fire and Rescue Service to nail offenders.
Bikes Busted: 12 Offences and One Seizure

Chief Inspector Warns Riders: “Speed Limits Are There for a Reason”
District Commander for Tunbridge Wells, Chief Inspector Omid Changizi said:
“We know there have been complaints about the speed and noise of motorcycles on this busy road. As traffic returns to normal after lockdown, operations like this are crucial to catch dangerous drivers.
Speed limits exist to keep everyone safe. We’ll keep enforcing the law and urging riders to think about how their behaviour affects other road users and the local community.”
