Bladed brawl erupts on Haslingden Close
Violence broke out in Old Swan in the early hours of Wednesday, August 9. Around 1am, a fight inside a house on Haslingden Close turned brutal when four people were hurt by what cops believe was a pair of scissors.
One rushed to hospital with chest injury
When Merseyside police arrived, they found three victims with minor wounds and one seriously injured, taken to hospital with a chest injury. The exact weapon remains unconfirmed by authorities.
Eight arrested after swift investigation
Detectives launched a rapid probe, arresting eight suspects over the violent attack. Six men aged between 30 and 57 and two women aged 35 and 54 are now in custody, being grilled over charges including section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent and affray.
Police appeal for witnesses and footage
“We’re in the early stages but are working hard to piece together what happened,” said Detective Inspector Katie Coote. “We’re not looking for anyone else in connection with this.”
