An ambulance exploded into a blazing fireball as it turned onto Long Hill in Mere, Wiltshire, last night. The emergency vehicle was rushing to aid a casualty when it suddenly burst into flames at around 10pm on Wednesday, 4 July.

Firefighters Race to Rescue

Fire crews arrived swiftly and doused the inferno before the fire could spread. Miraculously, no one was injured in the dramatic blaze.
