Firefighters raced to a blazing 100 metre by 100 metre cut corn field, where flames had also ignited stacked hay bales. The scene was a fiery nightmare as the blaze tore through crops with terrifying speed.
Firefighters Battle Fierce Blaze with Full Force
Five fire engines and the Kent Fire & Rescue Service Technical Rescue Unit swung into action. Teams doused the flames using hose reel jets, flex-packs, and beaters. They also deployed drag rakes to rip apart hay bales, hunting down hidden hot spots to snuff out the fire completely.
No Injuries But Heavy Damage
Thankfully, no one was hurt. But the fire left total devastation, destroying all the cut corn and hay bales in its path.
Suspicious Blaze Under Investigation
Fire chiefs suspect the blaze was deliberately started. An official investigation is now underway to hunt down those responsible for this devastating act.
