Blaze Rips Through West Essex Golf Club
About 30 firefighters are battling a fierce fire at West Essex Golf Club in Chingford. Flames erupted off Bury Road at around 2.40pm, sparking a major emergency response.
Six Fire Crews Race to the Flames
Firefighters from Loughton, Waltham Abbey, and surrounding areas were scrambled to the scene. Six crews are currently dousing the blaze, racing against the clock to stop it spreading.
No Injuries as Firefighters Fight Fire
When the first fire crews arrived, they confirmed everyone was accounted for and no one was injured,” said an Essex County Fire and Rescue Service spokesman. “Additional fire engines were requested to support.”
The battle to control the fire is ongoing as brave crews work tirelessly to extinguish the flames and secure the site.
