Blaze Breaks Out on Walthamstow High Street

A huge fire tore through a row of shops on Walthamstow High Street late last night, sending 70 firefighters and 10 fire engines racing to the scene.

Shops Ravaged by Flames

The fire engulfed three commercial units—a kebab shop, a phone store, and a clothing outlet—causing serious damage. Fire crews heroically evacuated three residents from the flats above, leading them to safety before the blaze spread further.

Fire Brigade Battles Flames into the Early Hours

The London Fire Brigade got the first call at 9.54pm on January 24. After over two hours of relentless effort, the fire was finally extinguished by 12.37am.

Crews from Walthamstow, Leyton, Tottenham, and neighbouring stations all joined the battle to tackle the inferno.

Cause Under Investigation

The London Fire Brigade has confirmed that the cause of the fire is still under investigation. No injuries have been reported so far.
