BMW Crashes Into Police Car in Mile End, Sparks Chaos
A BMW smashed into a police vehicle on Mile End Road, East London, late on Saturday night, December 21st, sparking chaos and traffic mayhem.
Crash Rocks Mile End at 9:30 PM
Emergency crews rushed to Mile End Road near the Burdett Road junction at around 9:30 PM. The police car was responding to an unrelated emergency when the BMW appeared to lose control and collided with it. Both vehicles suffered visible damage, forcing officers to cordon off the road temporarily.
No Serious Injuries—Driver Cooperating
The Metropolitan Police confirmed no serious injuries in the smash. The BMW driver, believed to be in their 30s, stayed at the scene and is working with detectives. A Met spokesperson said:
“At approximately 9:30 PM on Friday, December 21st, a collision occurred between a BMW and a police vehicle on Mile End Road, E3. Emergency services attended the scene. No serious injuries were reported, and investigations into the circumstances are ongoing.”
Traffic Nightmare, Now Cleared
The crash caused significant traffic delays with parts of Mile End Road temporarily closed. Luckily, the road has now reopened and traffic is flowing normally again.
