Body of Missing Woman Found on Christmas Eve in Newhaven
Tragedy struck on Christmas Eve when a local litter picker made a grim discovery during a patrol of the Narrows in Newhaven. The body of a woman was found around midday, sparking an urgent response.
Rescue Teams and Police Respond
The Newhaven lifeboat was launched immediately, and Sussex Police officers were called to the scene. Authorities say the death is not being treated as suspicious. A file is now being prepared for the Coroner by Sussex Police.
Missing Woman Identified as 65-Year-Old Vivienne
Police have not released an official statement about the incident yet but have removed the missing person appeal for 65-year-old Vivienne, who disappeared from her Newick home on December 22, 2021.
- A police helicopter search located her abandoned Ford Fiesta Zetec in Buckle, near Seaford.
