Fiery M25 Blaze Sparks Massive Traffic Chaos
Drivers are facing major hold-ups on the M25/A282 anti-clockwise between Essex and Kent. A car fire at Junction 31 has closed lane one of three, causing snarled traffic and long delays.
Seven Miles of Queueing Hell
The blaze has now been put out, but recovery teams are stuck removing the wrecked vehicle. This has triggered a traffic jam stretching seven miles back to Junction 3 near Swanley and the M20.
Motorists should brace for an extra hour added to their journey time as congestion crawls at a snail’s pace.
Knock-On Gridlock on A2 Too
To make matters worse, drivers on the A2 westbound heading towards the M25 face delays of at least 30 minutes. The domino effect from the M25 chaos is causing widespread headaches across the region.
