Coastguard Scramble on Isle of Sheppey for Missing Woman in Distress
Emergency services launched a frantic coastguard search on the Isle of Sheppey in Kent tonight after a woman was reported missing and potentially in distress.
Welfare Concerns Prompt Night-Time Search
The Dover Coastguard received an urgent alert after concerns were raised for the woman’s safety near Warden Bay, close to Cliff Drive Car Park.
A search party was quickly dispatched to scour the area between Jetty Road and Sea Approach, armed with torches under the cover of darkness.
Teams Mobilised After 8pm
Just after 8pm on Wednesday, multiple coastguard units were scrambled to the scene. Support teams from Medway also joined the search, along with a paramedic on standby.
Woman Found and Given Medical Attention
Thankfully, the woman was located on the beach. She was immediately checked over by the attending paramedic and wrapped in a blanket to keep warm.
The swift response highlights the relentless efforts of the coastguard and rescue teams in protecting vulnerable individuals along the Kent coastline.
