Boarders Makes a Bold Comeback for Series Two
The hit comedy-drama “Boarders” is back and ready to storm our screens once again. Created by BAFTA-nominated writer Daniel Lawrence Taylor, the show has won praise for its fresh, gripping story and a brilliantly diverse cast.
What’s the Plot?
Boarders follows the journey of five gifted Black inner-city teens who suddenly find themselves out of place — plucked from their world and dropped into the elite British boarding school, St. Gilbert’s, thanks to scholarships. But these spots aren’t just generous gifts; they’re a shrewd PR move to boost the school’s image.
Determined not to be pawns, the teens vow to make the most of their chance, navigating an alien environment full of unexpected challenges and rivals.
Familiar Faces Return
The core cast is back to bring the drama and laughs, including:
- Josh Tedeku as Jaheim
- Jodie Campbell as Leah
- Sekou Diaby as Toby
- Myles Kamwendo as Omar
- Aruna Jalloh as Femi
And creator Daniel Lawrence Taylor steps in again as the mentor, Gus.
New School, New Chaos
Series two heats up with new twists at St. Gilbert’s. Headmaster Bernard, who first brought the scholarship students in, faces suspension following a student rebellion. In his place, acting headmistress Carol Watlington-Geese — also the mother of Jaheim’s arch-rival Rupert — takes the reins and openly wants the scholarship kids out.
The stakes are higher, rivalries fiercer, and the scholarship teens must decide just how far they’ll go to survive and thrive in this high-pressure world.

Other returning characters include:
- Harry Gilby as Rupert
- Tallulah Greive as Beatrix
- Rosie Graham as Florence

- Derek Riddell as Headmaster Bernard
More cast announcements are expected soon.
Creator Daniel Lawrence Taylor Speaks Out
“The response to the first series has been incredibly inspiring, and I’m thrilled to announce the arrival of our second! What I’ve cherished most is showcasing Black experiences on screen and seeing how it resonates with everyone. While race can sometimes divide us, the emotions of feeling different, isolated, or trying to fit in are truly universal. I’m especially excited to work with the cast again; they are all budding superstars, and I’m overjoyed to see them bring my words to life once more! I can’t wait for you to see it!”
