Hit-and-Run Horror in South London
Police rushed to a horror crash at 9.38am on New Year’s Day, after a car smashed into a pedestrian at the tricky Plough Lane and Foresters Drive junction.
Man in Critical Condition
The victim, a 50-year-old man, was rushed to a south London hospital. He remains in a critical state. His family have been informed of his condition.
Driver Flees Scene
The driver fled without stopping. The Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are hunting them down.
Detective Sergeant Nick Bale said: “Officers are working round the clock to trace the driver involved and we are confident we know the identity of the driver. I urge that person to contact the police ASAP. We also want to hear from anyone with info about the collision.”
