Major Search Underway After Surfboard Found Off Dover Coast
Rescue Teams Rush to Sandgate
A huge search operation is in full swing off the coast of Dover after a surfboard was spotted floating in the water near Sandgate. Reports of a person in the water triggered the emergency response just before 10pm on Tuesday.
RNLI, Coastguard, and Helicopter Join Forces
The RNLI Dover lifeboat, coastguard teams, and a rescue helicopter have been scrambled to the scene. Lifeboat crews are scouring both sea and shore, carrying out a parallel track search to find the missing individual.
Person Still Missing
As of now, the person is reported to be outstanding. Authorities are continuing the intensive search operation as night falls.
