Passenger lashes out in traffic jam

The incident unfolded around midday on Saturday 26 February 2022, between the M25 and A282 in Dartford. A man, travelling as a passenger, suddenly stormed out of his stationary car and smashed the window of the vehicle behind.

Police officer on scene makes arrest

Thankfully, a police officer trapped in the same traffic witnessed the violent outburst and quickly moved in. The suspect, a man in his fifties from Swanley, was arrested on the spot.

The man has now accepted responsibility and agreed to pay for the damage. He has also been given a police caution for his reckless behaviour.

This serves as a stark warning against letting anger boil over on the roads.
