Chaos hit Camden Town Underground Station this morning after emergency crews rushed to reports of a person trapped under a train on Platform One. The shocking incident unfolded just after 8am on Thursday, 27 March.

Northern Line Services Suspended Amid Rescue Efforts

Transport for London confirmed Northern Line trains ground to a halt through Camden Town as police, London Ambulance Service, and the London Fire Brigade scrambled to the scene. Even London’s Air Ambulance sent specialist trauma doctors, highlighting the seriousness of the situation.

“We were called to Camden Town Underground Station at 8:04am on Thursday, 27 March, following reports of a casualty on the tracks. Emergency services, including London’s Air Ambulance, remain at the scene. The person is being treated and further updates will follow,” said British Transport Police spokesperson.

Station Evacuated, Travel Disrupted

Camden Town Station was swiftly evacuated as paramedics battled to save the individual. Commuters faced major delays on the Northern Line with travel bosses urging people to avoid the area and check updates before setting off.

One witness described the scene as “really distressing” with “so many emergency workers” creating a chaotic atmosphere.
