Firefighters Battle Blaze at Brighton Marina High-Rise

East Sussex Fire Service rushed to a fire at a high-rise residential building on The Boardwalk, Brighton Marina, at 5:18pm on Tuesday, December 7, 2022.

Major Response: Eight Fire Engines and Ambulance on Scene

Eight fire appliances and South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) were dispatched immediately. Fire crews tackled the blaze with a hose reel, swiftly bringing it under control.

No Injuries as Fire Deemed Accidental

An ESFRS spokesperson said, “Eight fire engines attended the scene, and 10 breathing apparatus were used to help check on the welfare of residents and clear the smoke.”

They added, “We would like to thank everyone in and around the building for following our guidance while we worked.”

“There are no reports of injuries,” the spokesperson confirmed. “The fire is being treated as accidental.”
