Prime Energy Drink Hits Aldi Shelves – But Limits Apply!
Bottles of Prime, the smash-hit energy drink created by YouTubers KSI and Logan Paul, are expanding beyond Asda. Starting December 29, you’ll be able to grab it at Aldi too – but don’t expect to stockpile.
Asda Imposed Purchase Caps After Frenzy
Demand for Prime has been off the charts. So much so, Asda slapped a limit of three bottles per customer back in October. The move came after Prime started selling for eye-watering prices on eBay – up to 500 times the original price.
Aldi Follows Suit With Strict Limits
Aldi’s jumping on the Prime bandwagon with a Specialbuy deal priced at just £1.99 per bottle. But to keep the craze under control, shoppers will be limited to one bottle of each flavour per visit.
Aldi warned: “Once it’s gone, it’s gone!”
The deal kicks off in Aldi stores nationwide from Thursday, December 29.
KSI Accuses Asda Staff of Selling on Black Market
KSI didn’t hold back about the frenzy. He claimed Asda employees themselves have been quietly selling Prime off the shelves.
“Asda employees aren’t even putting it on the shelves anymore. They’re shipping it quietly. They’re like, ‘What’s the point? I put it on the shelf, and it was gone in an instant. I’ll just sell it on the black market myself,’” KSI said. “That’s what they’re doing, bro, and then people make Ps out of it because you can’t get it anywhere.”
