Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) rushed to tackle a fire at a derelict building on Trinity Road, Sheerness, late Thursday night. The alarm sounded at 10:23 PM, prompting two fire engines to race to the scene.

Flames Fueled by Waste and Timber

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus doused the roaring fire using high-pressure hose reel jets. The blaze fed off piles of waste and timber sheets inside the abandoned property.

Thankfully, no one was injured in the incident.

Suspicious Fire Under Investigation

KFRS has opened a probe into the cause of the blaze, describing it as suspicious. Investigations remain ongoing as the fire service and police seek answers.
