Disabled Man Threatened with Knife and Robbed in Southampton City Centre Park

Police are hunting two men after a violent robbery in Palmerston Park, Southampton, on Thursday, August 4.

Victim, 54, Threatened with Knife

The 54-year-old man, who uses crutches, was targeted near Above Bar Street at around 3pm.

He was forced into a secluded spot in Palmerston Park. One attacker brandished a knife and demanded his watch and wallet. After grabbing the valuables, the pair fled across the park towards Debenhams.

Suspects Described

  • First man: Mixed ethnicity, 18–25 years, 5ft 8ins to 6ft tall, average build, short dark hair, wearing a dark blue jacket over a grey hoodie.
  • Second man: Black, 18–25 years, taller than the first, short black hair, wearing a red t-shirt, believed to be lookout.
