Heroic Firefighters Rescue Toddler Locked in Hot Car on Isle of Wight

A 2-year-old was trapped inside a car at Fort Victoria Country Park near Yarmouth this Friday afternoon. The Isle of Wight fire and rescue crew from Freshwater raced to the scene just after 12.25pm.

Scorching 30°C Temperatures Spark Urgent Response

With temperatures soaring to 30°C and the sun blazing down, the lone retained fire crew hurled themselves into action. On arrival, they found that the parents had already smashed a car window to reach their child.

Toddler Freed Safely, No Injuries Reported

Thanks to quick thinking by both parents and firefighters, the youngster was freed without injury. The blazing heat could have made this a far worse ordeal.
