Five fire engines and a bulk water carrier battle huge warehouse blaze in Queenborough, Kent
Emergency crews rushed to Thomsett Way after smoke billowed across Queenborough. The fire broke out shortly after 12:30pm on Friday, 9 May 2025 at a commercial warehouse in Kent’s Swale district.
Massive Fire Response Underway
Kent Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that five fire engines and a specialist bulk water carrier are on scene tackling the blaze. Firefighters are battling to contain the fire and stop it spreading to nearby buildings.

“If you’re in the surrounding area, you may notice smoke, but please be assured our crews are working hard to extinguish the flames and keep the scene safe,”
fire officials said in a statement aimed at reassuring the public.
