Coach Catches Fire on Busy A3 Near Petersfield
Firefighters rushed to the scene after a coach burst into flames on the northbound A3 near Petersfield. Two retained fire engines from Petersfield and Bordon battled the blaze.
Flames Engulf Coach Engine
The fire, concentrated in the rear engine compartment, was tackled by crews wearing breathing apparatus. Using a high-pressure hose reel, they managed to contain the fire and stop it from spreading to the rest of the 52-seater single-decker coach.
Lane Closure Causes Delays
Hampshire Road Policing officers from Havant have shut one lane while recovery teams work to clear the scene. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported.
