Firefighters rushed to a flat in Stirling Close, Rochester, after a neighbour spotted a fire in the ground floor bedroom and quickly alerted residents.

Brave Crews Battle Flames and Smoke

Wearing breathing apparatus, fire crews tackled the blaze with a high-pressure hose reel jet. They then cleared smoke and fumes using a positive pressure ventilation fan. A thermal imaging camera checked for hidden hotspots to stop the fire from spreading further.

No Injuries, Cause Likely Accidental

Thankfully, no one was hurt in the blaze. The fire is believed to have started accidentally. The British Red Cross arrived on scene to support those affected by the dramatic incident.
