Fire Rips Through Kent Home in Late Night Blaze
A house on Dover Road, Folkestone, suffered serious smoke and flame damage after a fire broke out around 8:45pm on Wednesday, July 4th. Three fire engines rushed to the scene to tackle the blaze.
No Injuries in Accidental Fire
Kent Fire and Rescue confirmed no injuries were reported. A spokesman said firefighters donned breathing apparatus and fought the flames with high-pressure hose reels to save the ground floor of the property.
Smoke Cleared After Fire Extinguished
Once the flames were under control, crews used a positive pressure ventilation fan to push smoke and toxic fumes out of the home. The fire left the house partially damaged but the cause is believed to be accidental.
“Firefighters attacked the blaze quickly and ensured everyone was safe,” said a Kent Fire spokesman.
