Fire Rips Through Portsmouth Townhouse Roof
A blazing fire tore through a Portsmouth townhouse after flames broke out on the third-floor balcony. Neighbours quickly dialled 999 when they spotted the blaze spreading to the roof.
Massive Fire Response Brings Blaze Under Control
Over 25 firefighters from Southsea, Cosham, Havant, and Portchester rushed to the scene. Dressed in breathing apparatus, crews confirmed the terraced home was empty and luckily, no injuries were reported.
Heavy Damage To Roof And Interior
- Half the roof destroyed by fire
- Smoke and water damage affected three-quarters of the house
- Fire extinguished just after 2pm
The cause of the fire remains unknown as investigations continue.
