Fire Breaks Out in London Home Due to Cigarette Carelessness
A semi-detached house in London suffered ground-floor fire damage after a cigarette was carelessly discarded. Firefighters in breathing apparatus rescued a man from the blaze, who was then treated on the scene by London Ambulance Service crews.
Blaze Caused by Unsafe Cigarette Disposal
The London Fire Brigade believes the fire was accidental, sparked by the unsafe disposal of a cigarette. A spokesperson warned:
“We’d rather you didn’t smoke at all, but if you do, it’s vital you make sure your cigarette is completely out after smoking it.”
“Failing to do so risks fire that could destroy your home – and even cost lives.”
