Firefighters raced to a massive blaze at a small holding in Navestock on Friday evening, where two ISO containers and several derelict outbuildings went up in flames.
Fire Crews Battle Tough Conditions Amid Rapidly Spreading Flames
Teams from Brentwood, Ongar, Loughton, Grays, and Harlow arrived on scene, joined by a water bowser from Corringham, to tackle the fierce fire. With tricky access slowing efforts, crews worked round the clock to stop the flames from spreading further.
“Crews worked tirelessly in difficult conditions to prevent further damage,” said Crew Manager Anthony Wakelin.
Deliberate Arson Suspected – Police Launch Investigation
Investigators have confirmed the fire was deliberately set, classifying the incident as arson. Police are now calling on the public to help catch those responsible.
