Massive Blaze Erupts at Acton Car Garage
Ten fire engines and about 70 firefighters raced to a huge fire at a car garage on Bollo Lane, Acton, this evening.
Dangerous Gas Cylinders Heighten Risk
The fire tore through a single-storey garage, causing serious damage. Inside, several gas cylinders threatened to explode. Brave firefighters cooled them down to prevent disaster.
Evacuations and Warnings for Locals
- Three men escaped before fire crews arrived.
- Around 35 people were evacuated as a safety measure.
- The Fire Brigade received 15 emergency calls about the blaze.
- Local residents were told to close windows due to thick smoke.
Fire Now Under Control, Investigation Underway
The brigade was called at 5.10pm and had the fire under control by 9.26pm. Crews from Acton, Chiswick, Ealing, Park Royal and nearby stations battled the flames and will stay on site for hours to fully dampen the area.
Fire experts will investigate the cause of the blaze.
