Four Months On, Mystery Woman Found in River Mersey Remains Unidentified
Body Discovered at Chorlton Water Park
Nearly four months ago, on March 21, a woman’s body was pulled from the River Mersey at Chorlton Water Park around 11:10 a.m. Emergency services rushed to the scene after the grim discovery, triggering a major response. Despite extensive efforts, police still can’t confirm who she is.
Investigation Hits Roadblocks
Greater Manchester Police launched an intensive investigation, deploying specialist forensic teams, DNA tests, and combing through missing persons reports. Unfortunately, the advanced decomposition has made identification extremely difficult. No belongings or jewellery were found on her, leaving investigators baffled about her identity and the events leading to her death.
Police Release Clues, Urge Public Help
To crack the case, cops have released photos of the clothing found on the woman, including a lime green Primark crop top, New Look JENNA size 8 jeans, and distinctive non-slip socks. Authorities hope someone will recognise these items and come forward. Detective Inspector Louise Edwards said:
“We remain absolutely committed to discovering the identity of this woman, and we know that someone out there will know who she is. We’re using every resource available, including forensic experts. We urge anyone with information to come forward.”
Still Searching for Answers
